The One Thing
What’s that ONE THING that you wish you could take control of? The one thing you would love to do with ease, without worry, without obsessing over or another thought?
We are partaking in a 45 day group challenge right now called : #45Strong. For 45 days there are 7 pillars or habits we are doing daily and then checking in on facebook in an accountability group. Seven non - negotiables. Fail to do one? You start over.
You can do this for yourself for any length of time and at any time of year where you need a reset or a kick in the pants.👖 I realized for myself, consistency is an issue. I get bored easily and often veer away from my initial goals, so I often find myself straying. I’m also a natural born rebel and often rebel against structured or ‘group mentality’ challenges. Needless to say these 45 days will be a challenge for me in more ways than one ! Lol 😅 So far so good on day 2!
So the one thing for me? It would have to be finishing what I started and not procrastinating that. I am making a promise to myself to follow through to the end of this challenge and not lose interest! To make it fun & exciting all along the way by setting little rewards for myself : ie. a massage, a new pair of earrings, coffee dates with friends , allowing myself to listen to a favourite podcast only when I exercise.
The #45Strong challenge is a great one to try for yourself!
For 7 Days you must:
* drink 4 l water
* exercise for 45 mins
* read 10 pages of personal development or some kind of uplifting, positive book
*take a progress pic
*check in on facebook/ do daily poll
* follow a healthy nutritional plan of your choice
* no alcohol
For some people, the exercise will be the hardest, for others... the no alcohol. For me? It’s the water. Always the water. 💦 Getting it in early really helps. I find if I can get in 2 litres before noon, then do a litre after noon and the last litre sipping on at night , I am golden. ✨💫
Are you finding yourself unmotivated, kind of blah? Uninspired? Need to shake things up? Trying something you’ve never done before can also really help you to step out of a rut and out of your comfort zone. I recently tried Snowboarding 🏂 with my 11 yr old son! It was challenging, tiring and a bit scary, but so much fun!
The new year is a great time for transformation, setting goals and for change. The important thing is to do the ONE THING you need to do to feel better, to make yourself proud and which allows you GROW. What is your ONE THING?
Love & laughter,
Allie
